  1. Diver Bronson Beyer landed an UKU and ULUA in November 2012 using the KT-281S Break-away Head rigged with 600# HIVIS Q-PowerLine leash (tether) line.   2. Hanalei Adric and partner Calvin Lai, Jr. won 1st place at the past 2012 Gene Higa Memorial in the speargun division after landing 2 (two) Uluas with a total weight of 66.6 lbs. Hanalei's Patent Pending SlipShaft™ conventional style setup included our KT-312 Break-away Head rigged with 480# stainless steel cable leash line and our 438T Front-end Adapter propelled on a 5/16" shaft.   3. Diver Spencer Haskins landed a 26# UKU on April 20, 2011 using the KT-312 Break-away Head rigged with Hivis 600# Spectra 2000 leash line. Shaft diameter was 9/32" and rigged with a SlipShaft™ 375T Front-end Adapter. Spencer said that he shot the fish at the end of the spear gun's shooting range which means that the KT-312 Break-away Head was not able to pass completely through the fish and the fish fought for 15 minutes. The interesting thing is that despite the far shot the KT-312 Break-away Head was able to penetrate enough so the back flopper barb and tip was able to catch under the fishes skin.
